Genghis Khan is a Hong Kong television series based on the life story of Genghis Khan, founder of the Mongol Empire in the 13th century. The series was first broadcast on TVB in Hong Kong in 1987. Unlike most of the productions in the 1980s by TVB, the series is shot mainly in the plains of Inner Mongolia, China, and involved many extras who acted as the soldiers in battle scenes.[1] Besides, an entire flight was booked for the cast and crew.[1]
